Debbie has been a loyal friend for nearly 40 years, during the various ups and downs in our lives In 2022, I went through a traumatic hose move on my own and Debbie helped greatly to unpack and organise me in my new home. She became my confidante and my 'gig buddy' for concerts as we both indulged our shared love for rock music at the Stroud Subscription Rooms. I saw another side of Debbie when in her team at The Old Badger quiz nights, when a 'quiz monster' emerged. Our team had plenty of 'passionate discussions' when she disagreed with the answers provided by other team members. Debbie had final control, however, as she always completed the answer sheet! Tragically the quiz nights and concerts were curtailed last year as Debbie's condition worsened, to be replaced by hospital appointments. Courageous to the end, she bore her cancer with fortitude and was taken from us far too soon. Rest in peace, Debbie xx
